This is my daughter's second family. I love the way they love ALL the children and my daughter is very excited about going to daycare.
This review is extremely hard for me to write because we wanted a good faith based school for our daughter and the location was perfect, I called for almost 1 month before there was a space open and once there was we rushed over there to enroll her. On Friday while dropping my 2 year old off the school my husband saw a teacher hit a boy two/three years old extremely hard. She turned around and saw him standing there and was in shock, she picked up the kid and kissed him. When we got to the car was when he told me what he saw, later that afternoon while picking up our daughter the director and owner approached me and said “I saw that your husband was very upset this morning” I said “yes he was” and told them what happened they said they would look into it etc. Today they told me that said teacher was given a final warning and that she resigned and her last day is on the 30th. My husband wanted my daughter out of that school that very day but I wanted to give them a chance to do the right thing because I really liked my child’s teacher but what did it for me was telling me they gave her a final warning. Abuse of a child is an immediate firing offense, if she just resigns she can work at another daycare and mistreat other kids. My husband reached out to the authorities and they’re being investigated, do what you please with this information and don’t let the lack of seats in Davenport make you put your child in an unsafe place.
This school has plenty bad dcf violations in the past years. Now they are change to different owner in the corporation to cover bad stuff, but same staff.
I DONT LIKE WHAT THIS SCHOOL DID TO MY KID... ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WHO WORK THERE... I WAS DROPPING THE KID LATE BECAUSE HE WAS IN A DOCTOR APPOINTMENT... AND THIS LADY SAMANTHA JUST SAID NO AT THIS TIME YOOU CANT LEAVE YOUR KID HERE... AND SHE CLOSE THE DOOR ON MY KID FACE AND LET HIM CRYING OUTSIDE IN FRONT OF THE DOOR AND SHE WALK AWAY !! I THINK THAT WAS DISRESPECTFULL AND CARELESS !.... AND WHEN I CALL TO TALK WITH ANOTHER PERSON WHO IS IN CHARGE SHE TOLD ME SHE SAID THAT THE PERSON WAS ON VACATION ... BUT WHO IS ALWAYS IN CHARGE WAS HER.... SO WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE... THAT CLOSE THE DOOR IN A KID FACE AND LET HIM CRYING OUTSIDE AT 4 YEARS OLD... I REALLY DONT LIKE THIS SCHOOL... AND WHEN I CALL THIS MORNING TO TELL THAT I PUT MY KID IN ANOTHER SCHOOL SHE SAID PERFECT !.. SO I MY EXPERIENCE I DONT LIKE IT AT ALL !!
My daughter goes to The Ark Christian Academy and she LOVES IT!! I am so glad I found this place, she loves the teachers and her classmates. Everyone is very friendly, they are very clean and their curriculum is really good!!
I love this daycare! My son is so happy there! I am so glad I decided to put him in daycare instead of with a sitter
