Worked there shortly, witnessed children being yelled or even screamed at all day (including the one-year-olds) having their arms pulled on roughly and being pushed through doorways, pushed down onto the ground, pinched, grabbed, and otherwise very out-of-proportion or downright inappropriate reactions and punishments to age-appropriate behavior (e.g. 2 year-olds being made to put their heads down on tables with the lights shut off, having their heads physically pushed down if they try to get back up, because they were playing too loudly in the teacher's opinion, during scheduled play time) and generally very aggressive behavior from teachers. Definitely an abusive environment, with cramped, hot, loud classrooms with no sound insulation, outdoor play area or hardly any room for the kids to play indoors, often with too many children in ratio to staff. Parents often got messages about aggressive behavior from the children as if it happened out of nowhere. It was in reality either age-appropriate behavior or normal reactions to an unsafe environment, which I have heard other parents picked up on and promptly pulled their children from enrollment. These issues were clearly being brushed under the rug for a long time before I began working there, and there were so many levels of wrong with this place, from the steep weekly price they charge (they have been the most expensive daycare of their caliber I have seen in Lancaster- much cheaper daycares have much higher quality care elsewhere in the county), the misleading advertising on their website and in philosophy (marketed as a Montessori-based daycare but does not practice a single aspect of Montessori curriculum). So disappointed that they stayed open for so long with all of the CPS reports made this far. Hopefully they will be shut down for good
