Findings: Complaint: On Monday, August 24, 2020, a 2 yr. old child, was left on the playground. Teacher A.W. stated on the day in question, one of the parents came into the building to pick up her child and told her that she observed child on the playground playing by himself. Teacher A.W. stated when the parent told her about the child, she immediately went outside to assess the situation and observed the child playing on the playground by himself. Teacher A.W. states the child did not appear to be in any distress so she took him back inside to teacher A.R., told her the child was left outside by himself and that she needs to be more careful. Teacher A.W. stated teacher A.R. appeared to be upset about the situation when she was informed about the incident. Complaint confirmed. As a result of the incident, the program was unable to ensure the safety and security of the child in question because he was left unsupervised. Program was informed to ensure the safety and security of each child at all times. Please note the program terminated staff member A.R. as a result of the incident.
