Each day, within a structured learning environment, children freely choose from a number of developmentally appropriate activities at a variety of work (learning) centers and participate in small-group, teacher-led activities. Maria Montessori believed that learning occurred best through the use of all five senses, not just through listening, watching, or reading. Children enrolled in Tender Years preschool and pre-kindergarten programs learn at their own, individual pace and according to their own choice of prepared activities.

My twins learned so much here, and they were so loved (and still are, even when they are no longer attending). They didn't just play all day, but they had focused "play" learning activities. I was impressed when my early-4-year-olds would be able to tell me all about the digestive system or show me where Hawaii is on a map. From the infant room, they began doing art projects and even cooking (we got adorable photos of them making pudding with their class). After a year in the preschool room, they knew numbers, colors, shapes, letters and most of the letter sounds. Their preschool teacher would talk with the children about what they wanted to learn about and then do units that were of interest to them, with books, games, and hands-on projects. The staff did most of the work of toilet training my children, which was awesome as a busy commuter. The price was very reasonable, which as private pay family was very important. The owner and teachers are very friendly and nice. I was nervous about working and having my kids at a daycare center, but they put my mind at ease with their friendly manner and frequent communication. The center is small so you get to know the other families - they only have one class of each age group infant, toddler, and preschool. For me, Mrs. Deidre and TYLC have been a God-send.
This child care center is the most dedicated, honest, and loyal company I have ever worked for and had my kids attend. The owner is very nice and personable. The center is very neat and clean. The kids don't just go there to play, they actually LEARN!!! I would recommend any and every parent enroll their child into this center.
I highly recommend Tender Years learning due to they facilitate the importance of education and family values. The love they show for the children and parents is authentic. They uphold the value of education and seeking all avenues for the children to be in a safe environment. It's a living and breathing laboratory for learning and social skills for children and parents.

I love this Center! My son attended from 9 months until Kindergarten and my daughter started at 6 weeks and will continue to grow and blossom with this caring and competent staff until she goes to the "big school". Deidre and her team are like family. They care for the individual needs of my children and have been great partners helping me prepare my son for success in Kindergarten. I know the same will be true for my daughter. Deidre is a natural teacher who has instilled respect, compassion, friendships and love of learning in my children. I can't say enough good things about TYLC. I encourage everyone to give TYLC a look.
I had an unfortunate experience with this center. My child was being neglected and I was being lied to about the care given to my child, along with other things. I also recently discovered that I have been bad mouthed to one of the other parents by the staff members. I am glad I took my child from the center when I did, but sorry they had to experience this in the first place.
