Take My Hand is a glorified baby sitting service. The daycare sits in a rented space of a church and is not structured to house kids, the "classroom" setting is more like a bullpen setting. None of the staff is properly trained in early childhood education nor social work. The owners have absolutely no professionalism, empathy and basic people skills. Michele, one of the asst. Directors is typically rude, very argumentative and defensive when called out on the facilities and staffs incompetency. For the tuition costs of $1,000 per month, I urge you to keep looking. If you are looking for a babysitter this is ok especially as an infant. However, once the child becomes a toddler the lack of the staffs early childhood education training is very harmful to the child. Toddlers are not provided a stimulating, structured environment in which they are encouraged to be engaged. They tend to have a lot of unstructured playtime while some of the 'teachers' sit. Some teachers use negative words about the child and to the child, all very dangerous to a child's emotional health, self esteem and well being. Extremely disappointed and appalled that this daycare facility is still in business. My advice: Do your homework, look around, and ask LOTS of questions!
