I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I love Sunshine Learning Center. Both of my children attend here. The staff is super nurturing and understanding. They care for the children and have been very good at communicating any incidents/ accidents that happened at school. The front office staff (Lauren and Beth) are very nice about tuition and are flexible with payment options. My boys have learned so much here. My oldest (almost 4) comes home singing and he even has learned Spanish. My little guy (1.5) knows sign language and is talking so much more than when he started. My boys are learning to be polite and kind to others. The teachers are phenominal. I am a teacher myself and am impressed with the amount of support they give to students and how they go out of their way to meet each students needs. I have had no issues at all. I would highly recommend this place. The only reason my boys are not going here anymore is due to us moving. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sunshine and am super happy with the education and foundational skills my boys have received. Please send your children here... you will not be disappointed. The feel of the place is welcoming and warm. It is small and intimate... not huge and overwhelming like some other centers. I cannot say enough good things about this daycare. Thank you to all of the staff for being amazing and helping my boys grow into great people!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Up unitl a few months ago I would have given this place 5 stars no question. My daughter started at this facility in 2011 and completed all the way through Pre-K. We had no issues with her there. However, when it comes to my son, things were very different. In 2013 while in their care as an infant, he suffered a fractured skull under their care and they had no explination for us as to how it happened. Mind you he was 7 months old so I wasn't happy when they said they werent' watching him enough to tell me how he FRACTURED HIS SKULL!!!!!! With hesistation, I kept my son in the daycare becasue of my good history with my daughter there. I gave them another chance because I didn't want to chance a new daycare be just as neglectful or worse. Fast forwas for pre-school. Yes, my son is a rambuctious little boy who can be difficult at times, but the staff made it seem like my son was the worst child on Earth. They made it clear to him more than once that they were not fond of him. They almost tried to kick him out because he was "too much for them to handle." I'm sorry, but that is their job and if they can't handle kids' behavior, they are in the wrong field,. My son and I were made to feel like he was an outcast and they did not like him. Pre-K went ago as Ms. Tina was FANTASTIC with him and gave him self-confidence. Something that no other teacher or director had done before. I enrolled him in their school-agers program for this summer. On Wednesday I was told he tried to pet a dog at the park and they freaked out and told me he MAY have to stay back from a field trip but they would let me know. Thursday and Friday went great from what the teachers told me. Then I pick my son up this Monday and he tells me he isn't allowed to go to the Zoo on Wednesday. Mind you i was NEVER told that it was a for sure thing he had to stay back. The other thing is that my husband asked why they didn't keep him back the very next day after the incident and he was told "The library was not a fun enough field trip to keep him back from to make him understand the consequences." So they made my son choose what field trip he wanted to go on and then that was the one they told him he coundn't go to. He is 5!!!!!!!! THat is completely inappropriate and terrible to do to a child. We immediately terminated our contract with them. They claim they are a Christian daycare but this is definetly not the case. Yes, when I began at Sunshine, they were very Christian. Now, especially the director and the Explore's Club leaders are far from behaving in a Christian manner. I advise caution when enrolling here. My family used them for 7 1/2 years and they treated my son like crap and looked happy when I picked him up from his last day there.
