THE TODDLER ROOM TEACHERS ARE AWFUL AND ABUSIVE. I JUST PULLED MY DAUGHTER OUT OF THAT SCHOOL BECAUSE I WALKED INTO TODAY TO A TEACHER "Cassi" YELLING AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS AT A 1 YEAR OLD BOY TO "SHUT UP" AND "STOP THAT RIGHT NOW." WHICH HE WAS CRYING IN HYSTERIA BECAUSE HE WAS SCARED.

We started Sunrise preschool in January 2014. We actually choose this sunrise preschool, even though it was farther from our home than another one, because of their yelp reviews. My daughter started in the infant room and was very happy in this class room. The teachers where caring, nurturing, attentive, and always communicated with me about anything to do with my daughter. I would also get phone calls even when something seems off about her sleeping patterns or eating. They always kept me in the loop and my daughter was in love with her teachers in this class, especially teacher Dana.

Unfortunately, my daughter turned 1 and was moved to the younger toddler room. This is the class room all the way at the end to the right with teacher Rebecca. We where expecting the same love and attentiveness from her new 2 teacher but was quickly concerned. The first day I picked her up from this school, I realized my daughter was pretty dirty (more then normal) and she had a horrible case of pink eye in her right eye. She had a seeping eye that had old dry crust, clearly it had been this way for hours. I would normally get a call right away from the teacher in the infant room about something like this but Rebecca wasn't paying close enough attention to my daughter to notice this was going on and clearly exposed other kids to this for hours, if not all day. While I was speaking to her, there was another little 1 year old girl who was very attracted to this other little girls hair that had 2 pigtails. She was NOT pulling on them but touching them and the other little girl didn't seem to mind. I was watching the whole thime while I was speaking to the teacher, but once she saw the 2 girls she runs over to them and screams loudly at the one girl, grabbed her arm and drags her over to the set of lady bug pillows by her ONE ARM and drops her on the pillows. I WAS SHOCKED and left the class room and went directly over to Laura the director and explained what I saw and the situation with my daughters pink eye. She explained she would review the video and take care of it.

Today was the last and final call and I actually got to witness the abuse. At 8am I walked into the school to drop my daughter off and before I made it down the hall I can hear a teacher screaming at the top of her lungs. I walked past the class to hear a little boys crying and trying to catch his breath and teacher Cassi screaming at this 1 year old little boys to SHUT UP over and over and over again. This went on for over 5 minutes. I was so upset to hear what I just heard I went looking for the director so she could witness it herself. She was out with my daughters class and couldnt leave them but was going to send another teacher in. I then walked back into the school and went to go pass the class room again and she was still yelling at this child. I couldn't take it anymore and went into the class next to hers and told the teacher next door that she was loosing it and someone needed to go in and check on the little boy. I have reported everything to licensing and have removed my daughter from the school because I don't trust she is safe anymore under these teachers care. We would stay if they fired teacher Rebecca and Cassi since we do love the other teachers and Laura the director but I guess its not that easy which is unfortunate.
