Description: The Sunbury Sonshine Preschool is an outreach ministry of the Sunbury Christian Church and has just celebrated its twenty year anniversary in 2009. The school is licensed by the Ohio Department of Human Services. Our philosophy is that children learn through play. They also learn by creating and doing. Our curriculum isÿboth developmentally andÿindividually appropriate.ÿWe baseÿour programs and practices on respect for the individual child, individual rate of growth, and unique learning styles. The school is in session September through May in accordance with the public school year. Hours of operation for the school are: 9:00 A.M. - 12 Noon - Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The school accepts children from ages 3 - 6. Children may be enrolled and enter at any time, as long as openings are available. The school's goal is to provide a warm, secure Christian environment while the child is away from his or her family. We provide an environment conducive to the development of each individual child and a Christian setting that will nurture and guide the spiritual, physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of the child.
