About the Provider

Storybook Cottage was established as a pre-school, child care center in 1988 in West Sacramento. After two successful years, a second school was purchased in Sacramento. The third center was a closed preschool in Carmichael. The Carmichael school was completely rebuilt. It was finished and opened in 2001. Storybook Cottage’s first facility in West Sacramento has been demolished and replaced with a bigger and better new facility. It recently reopened in May 2008. It is the objective of Storybook Cottage to make a positive contribution to the development of your child’s full potential. We seek to provide the best learning environment in a preschool setting that facilitates healthy growth and development. We select our staff carefully to provide the best possible care and education for children. Head teachers have degrees in early childhood education and/or several years of successful teaching experience. Assistant teachers have a minimum of 12 Early childhood Education units. A teacher aide has at least 6 Early Childhood Education units. All are under the direct supervision of an experienced center director.
