About the Provider
At Stony Point Christian Preschool we strive to make the preschool a loving and nurturing environment for the precious little ones entrusted to our care.
We have two classes in the preschool. Monday, Wednesday and Friday we hold our 4 & 5 year old class. Tuesday and Thursday we hold the 3 year old class. Both classes run 9:00 - 12:00. We are a school year program that runs September through May.
Miss Valerie is the lead teacher/director. She has taught preschool for twenty one years. She loves spending time teaching and guiding little people. Miss Sharon has taught at Stony Point for three years. She is a wonderful, caring teacher to the children.
Our Pre-K curriculum covers a weekly theme, letter, numbers, patterns, shapes, colors, rhyming, opposite and position words. We enjoy exploring the world through simple science activities and experiments. Our "Children Around The World" curriculum helps us celebrate and appreciate how 4 & 5 year olds live and play in other parts of the world.
Our 3 year old curriculum covers basic introductions to letters, numbers, shapes and colors along with a daily theme. Much emphasis is given to developing social skills with this age group.
Each day includes Bible Time. We hear Bible Stories, learn scripture verses and sing songs that help little ones celebrate God and Jesus.
