Poor COVID Policies and Management
We took our child out of St. Anthony's for a few reasons, but the reason we simply could not look past was their COVID policies. Not only were only just over half of their employees vaccinated several months after vaccines were available to front line employees, but they definitely do not do all that they can to protect the kids. When someone is suspected to have it, they don't quarantine the class or school; they just ask that individual to stay home. Not quarantining everyone potentially affected could easily produce an outbreak. I've heard of many schools in the area who quarantine at least the classroom. St. Anthony's does the absolute bare minimum as required by law. As a private school in a right to work state, they do not mandate vaccines for employees. These employees' jobs are based on care giving to children; if they are not helping to protect them, how are they serving the fundamentals of their position? St. Anthony's policies takes great care of their employees, which is fantastic to make sure they earn a living wage, but it sure would be nice if they took as much care with the children, which should be first and foremost for a daycare. By all accounts they do not, which was the final issue we couldn't look past. We do not recommend St. Anthony's.
