Description: King Street is a well-established early education and care center located near Springfield College. Our staff is diverse with many bi-lingual and bi-cultural teachers. A brand new, beautiful playground was installed in 2012 -- it is a large, fabulous play space with an outdoor water spray, bicycle track and a large gardening area. At this time, we are active participants in the Department of Early Education and Care's Quality Rating Improvement System and have just recently submitted for our NAEYC (National Association of Young Children) accreditation with an anticipated site visit in the Fall. This accreditation is like the Good Housekeeping seal of approval in our world!
We have a cooperative Program with Putnam Vocational Academy. Juniors and seniors enrolled in Putnam’s early childhood tract alternate weeks between Square One and their academic program @ Putnam providing all Square One children with additional attention and care.
Our curriculum is based on national outcome expectations and all our children are regularly assessed to ensure they are reaching their full educational, emotional and social potential. Literacy is a big component of our work with story books and literature incorporated into our daily learning schedules. Field trips are taken regularly to local museums, farms and other exciting attractions.

I had my daughter in Square One and the communication and the transportation was completely unprofessional and not reliable. I would never recommend anyone to utilize their services
