I have participated in the states grueling coaching/observation process and received a High Quality rating for the past 4 years. I have 30 years of licensed experience in home childcare. I feel it is of utmost importance for the childcare provider you choose to care for your children to have an education in the developmental stages of all ages and a knowledge of age appropriate activities. This will aid in promoting a healthy and safe learning environment. Having a licensed provider will provide you with the knowledge that the person caring for your child has had a criminal background clearing, a fire inspection, health inspection, is cpr and first aid certified, and has a food handlers permit. A licensed provider is required to have quarterly fire drills and conduct a major disaster drill. Also required, is a state inspection by a trained professional to ensure the home is safe for your children. An unannounced inspection is also completed yearly. You have the comfort of knowing that guidelines are set and enforced to ensure the well-being of your child!
