About the Provider
Sonbeam Preschool and Daycare is a learning center that offers Portland families a safe and wholesome environment for their children. Sonbeam offers a program that is fun and educational, stressing Christian values and providing its students with a solid foundation on which to begin their education.
At Sonbeam, a phonics-based curriculum prepares the children for reading. They enjoy activities that teach color recognition, vocabulary, science and nature, number concepts, music and other arts. Christian teachings are integrated into the program through Bible stories, songs, and memory verses. The computer lab gives children the opportunity to become comfortable and adept with advancing technology. The entire curriculum is designed to spur the child’s imagination as well as to challenge them to explore and learn. These programs are conducted by a stable, dedicated staff who share a commitment to the mission of Sonbeam.
