About the Provider
Our non-profit Montessori school is located in beautiful Old Town Sherwood. We offer a small class environment of twenty children maximum. This enables our teachers give ["Maria Montessori.jpg"] individual attention and care to each child. Smockville Montessori follows the principles developed by Dr. Maria Montessori (August 31, 1870 ' May 6, 1952) who was an Italian physician, educator and humanitarian. Dr. Montessori believed children could learn free from bias if the environment was lovingly prepared with the needs of the child clearly understood. Our teachers strive to prepare a warm, nurturing prepared environment for each child to grow and learn at their own pace. We are also members of the Oregon Montessori Association.
