I am an employee

This is primarily for teachers considering possible employment opportunities.
If you’re looking for CONSTANT verbal harassment from the owner, Lynn Wagner, this is the place for you. Phone calls, texts, emails and messages until 12am or after when you work at 6am.
If you enjoy parents raising fists at you in a classroom full of children, and being told nothing actually happened so Lynn isn’t going to do anything, you’ve found your place.
If you want zero severance pay after 10 years of employment, weehoo, you’ve got it.
If you want to be used and abused, Sierra Vista is your home.
If you’d like to be maliciously lied about after you terminate your employment because of threats of physical violence, denied compensation and damages, and then denied unemployment benefits, Sierra Vista is the way to go.
Sierra Vista Children’s Academy will drain every single bit of passion for teaching out of you. Lynn Wagner is a horrendous boss and abusive harasser.
I’m sure some of y’all can figure out who I am, and I don’t particularly care. I can not stand by and allow abusive people to succeed any longer.
Lynn Wagner has abused a staff member for the last time.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I had my infant here. I IMMEDIATELY HAVE REMOVED MY CHILD FROM THIS DISGUSTING MESS! Now, understand this, I have three much older children who all attended Sierra vista previously and we had wonderful experiences. We worked very closely with Miss Wendy, Miss Tina, and Miss Jordan all of whom have since left. We are still quite close with each of these wonderful ladies. I had to get my infant in a center very quickly and just assumed Sierra Vista was still exceptional as they have a best daycare sign displayed at the entrance of the center. FALSE ADVERTISING - THAT WAS AWARDED TO SIERRA VISTA YEARS AGO! It should say WORST DAYCARE! My infant has been neglected and ignored the very few days she attended school. Not one time did I pick up a smiling, happy child or see a happy child in the vicinity of the school! Every child looks MISERABLE! They are crying and screaming and terrified. My infant was sent home with “hand, foot, and mouth” diagnosed by the idiot Mary Machado. She is not a doctor, she hasn’t even attended college. She has no right to diagnose my kid. I immediately took my child to the doctor: my child does not have hand, foot, and mouth. My child doesn’t have anything. When questioning staff on my child being sent home, staff were told by Miss Rita to be quiet and not speak to me. Never in previous years at Sierra Vista was a staff told to be quiet and not speak to a parent. My infants safety and health is my priority, it should be her caretakers as well. I WILL NEVER RETURN MY CHILD TO SIERRA VISTA CHILDRENS ACADEMY! Anyone who does should be investigated for child abuse.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I am on here to write a review after hearing some of the rumors that have been going around about the daycare and the staff. My kids did not like the previous staff, the days they attended daycare were definitely days that you could see a change in their behavior. The previous teachers were impatient, rude, loud, and had no compassion for the kids or their families. I walked in to one of the ladies saying “these parents are crazy” in response to a concerned parent after the teachers lost their child’s item. It’s truly sad to see all the petty gossip and drama that’s been posted about the school. Since the previous staff left in the summer, the schools been calmer, the kids are happier and making more progress developmentally. I want to urge parents to get to know the staff for themselves before indulging in the drama and gossip probably posted by the previous disorderly employees.

One of my child’s teachers were accused of child abuse. She was one of the best teachers there and that’s not okay at all she can literally go down for all of this. My kid would come home and tell me how much they loved her and she treated them all well. That daycare is not where you want your kids to go. My kid will forever love her. She will always be my favorite one there. Sierra vista is not the daycare for you at all. She taught my kid a lot and for them to let this happen and the boss isn’t helping her out. That’s too much for her she is only 19 and she is getting accused of this. We love and miss you!!!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Since being under new management this daycare has become a more caring facility. My daughter loves to go to daycare now and hates to leave. She absolutely adores Mrs. Mary. I highly recommend this daycare.

I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

I went on a tour of this facility because a friend of mine from college was the PreK Teacher and she highly recommended the infant and toddler center for my newborn. My friend was enthusiastic in her description of Miss Jessica and Miss Angel. Now, mind you, my friend, Miss Jessica, Miss Angel and the previous director have all left the facility by now. The woman who gave my tour was kind but absolutely ignorant. During my tour, a two year old escaped their classroom and ran up the stairs to a staff only area. Some of the staff were dressed in daisy dukes and crop tops; some were dresses in basketball shorts and gigantic tshirts. The staff were unresponsive and rude. The owner was bad mouthing the previous staff to current staff. The infant room is ridiculous - there is no soft surface for tummy time or play time. The cribs are dirty. Nothing labeled or organized at all.
I wouldn’t even consider leaving my baby there at all! EVER!
I don’t have any older children but they’re playground is awful! Toys thrown all over everywhere, broken apart sheds, trash bags full of trash hanging off of shelves, camping chairs.
Some children were on top of staff members hanging on them. Other children were fist fighting and climbing to the top of play structures and jumping off. If you have seen Mean Girls and remember the jungle scene that is an accurate depiction of Sierra Vista now. The owner lost more than just teachers when Miss Jordan, Miss Wendy, Miss Serray, Miss Angel and Miss Jessica; she lost a legacy of incredible early childhood education!

I wouldnt recommend anyone's children coming here. One of the sitters who's one of the supervisors is very vulgar around the kids. She cusses and says racial slurs. My friends child came home and said she was scary and said mean things to the other sitters in front of them and yells at them all the time and is sometimes rough with them. If you are looking into this place please really do your research. There are more daycares around that will truly care for your kids and take good care of them. Stay away from here please for the safety of your children
