My daughter experienced physical abuse while at this daycare center and we took her out. The owner was completely unapologetic and very rude. Refused to check cameras in the classrooms, or let me see what happened to my daughter when she came home bruised.
Shining Stars is a wonderful place to put your kids in!!! The teachers were so wonderful with my daughter and she loved going there. She learned her ABC's, numbers, and most importantly manners!!Now, my daughter is in school and she still goes there for after school. This child care facility is wonderful!!!
Shining Star, cdc. is a great learning childcare center. I can say this as both a teacher and parent. I have been working at this center for a year now, and the owner is a great person to work for. The children are supervised very well and also taught an enormous amout of educational things. No childcare center is perfect BUT this center is cutting to it. Not only do us as the teachers make sure the children are taken care of, supervised, kept clean, but the owner drops in each and every classroom often to make sure the children's needs are kept first. You can expect that a child sometimes will have accident, that is reality. But any accident that occurs is written down in an accident report and brought to the attention of the parent. Each room has an child to teacher ratio, and we are over staffed here to make sure every child's need is kept inconsideration. If it is your child's first time in daycare, you can expect for them to come in contact with other kids and to pick up germs. This is nature, and helps to build their immune system by exposure. As parents we learn this from our pediatrics that they will tend cause a small common cold their first time in daycare. Shining stars is a wonderful center, its clean, exceptional, great for learning, and very family oriented. Join our family, you won't be disappointed.
I have been very pleased with the development of my child. I have seen him blossom from this great program. The Director and Teachers definately have a heart for children. The children are not only being ready for school but the Christians values, manners and enforcing state regulation is of top priorityI would recommend Shining Stars to everyone.
I hated this place. My child was not cared for in any way. Whenever he came home with bruises I was told children fall...??? Could it be because they are not being watched? Don't expect your kid to learn anything here. They talk a good game but no matter what time of day I picked him up they seemed to be watching TV (despite saying they only watched it on Friday's). The owner is non-responsive when you have a problem and seems to enjoy making your life difficult if you bring your concerns to her attention. The cameras in the room are completely useless and don't show much of anything. Some of the cribs are completely out of view. My kid seemed to be sick from the day he started until the day I removed him from there. Phew...is it a relief to have him somewhere else!
