Fired a staff member the day she went on maternity. Found out when her housing called for employment verification. Was still given the impression she was coming back. I do believe it's illegal to fire someone when they go on maternity leave.

About the Provider

Seward Academy's mission is to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for infants, toddlers, preschool, and school age children. We offer a stimulating and educational experience, while promoting each child's social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The goal is to support children's desires to be life-long learners and achievers. Seward Academy cares for children ages 6 weeks old to 13 years. The Centers Capacity is 50 children. There are separate rooms for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school age children. Transportation to and from school is provided from all three elementary schools.
