Description: Head Start is an early childhood education program serving income eligible families with children zero to five. Services are available to pregnant women from conception to birth.
The Head Start program provides opportunities for families to experience developmentally appropriate educational activities with their children and strengthen their involvement in their child’s education from the beginning.
Head Start is funded with federal assistance through the Department of Health & Human Services and through state funding provided by the Department of Social Rehabilitation Services. There is no monetary cost to eligible families.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
