My granddaughter came nome Friday 12/6/2019 with a mark, scratch under her eye. She would cry when asked about it. Her mom was notified to contact the teacher. Her response, “check to see if it’s marker because they used markers today.” Number one she check to see if it’s a marker. She was under her care. Talking to my granddaughter again she names the individual that hit while they were eating and he was put in the calm down area. So how does the teacher not know that. She should have found out first instead of throwing out a flimsy, stupid response. They needed to contact his parents and suspend him for a few days. My granddaughter goes there to get a head start on her educational journey not to be assaulted. He needs to keep his hands to himself and the teaching staff needs to make sure of that!
