Won’t forget to remind you that you received ELS grant from government and if you don’t like something you can leave instead of making sure the issue is addressed first. Most teachers are caring and attentive, and I’ve had good experiences with them. However, if management schedules an appointment for you at 9 a.m. and doesn’t follow through, they may send a teacher to speak with you instead—without any clear explanation. If you then express that you expected a call, your response may be misinterpreted as being rude to the teacher, rather than holding the appropriate person accountable.
Additionally, I was accused of laughing at “policies,” which was confusing. First, I don’t laugh at things that aren’t funny. Second, no teacher mentioned any policies—only the director did. So, next time you're in a conversation, make sure to clarify whether something is a suggestion or an actual policy. And be careful—even a smile might be taken the wrong way.
