About the Provider

Sausalito Nursery School is one of the oldest cooperative nursery schools in the country. Founded in 1939, the school has provided an exceptional start to generations of children in Sausalito and Southern Marin. Situated on a double lot in Old Town, Sausalito, the school is a quaint building with cozy classrooms, and has an extensive play yard under a canopy of old growth trees. At SNS, students enjoy the best of both worlds: parent participation and professional guidance by a full teaching staff. As a co-operative, SNS affords parents an opportunity to participate in the excitement and joy of the first years of learning. Recognizing the demands on today's parents, the school only requires that you work in the classroom one day per month.
