Sandpoint Play & Learn is an Early Childhood Education Center. Our highly qualified staff have developed a education syllabus for all ages. Kelley Wendle (Managing Director) has a Degree in Child Developement and our Education Director - Patty Murphy, has a Masters Degree in Education, several of our other staff also have degreesa in various fields such as Psychology and Child Developemnt. All of our staff receive ongoing training and are part of the coveted Idaho Stars Childcare program. Our Center has two secure (high fenced) playgrounds. One for young infants and one for our older children. We also take them to various parks and on fiield trips and bike rides under close and full supervison of our staff. Over the years I have either used or visited several daycare's in and around Sandpoint. And no0ne are anything like this one. This is an excellent safe and secure daycare for my two children. All of their programs from Infant to preschool are very well planned and the staf are all excellent at engaging with the kids, teaching them how to play safely, and the preschool education syllabus is amazing and very well thought out. Their afterschool program including summer school (summer fun as they call it) is also excellent and they even take the kids on field trips and bike rides. Kelley is just amazing with both kids and parents and is always available to talk through any problems with child care or raising kids - especially for new parents. Tyler, Emily, Terry, Sandy, Kenzi, Kim and Taylor all do an excelent job and seem to really enjoy working with the kids. I am 100% secure in the knowledge than my children are being loved, well cared for and having fun learning while I am at work. Sandpoint Play & Learn deserves a five star rating.
