Orange County Head Start, Inc. (OCHS)
OCHS serves birth to 5 year old children, whose family is on public assistance, meet low income criteria, are homeless, in foster care and/or are experiencing other recognized vulnerable life circumstances. The preschool program is free to qualifying families.
OCHS provides a comprehensive full-day early education program for preschool aged children with special emphasis on promoting children’s school readiness in the areas of language and cognitive development, early reading, science, mathematics, social skills, health and physical development.
Parents are empowered as leaders and advocates for their children’s education, families’ success, and betterment of the communities where they live, work and play.
