Robin Rogers Day Service

Finding quality child care is not always easy. For parents who have a child with a disability, it can be extremely more difficult. Many parents unfortunately know what it feels like to have their child not accepted into a child care program because of medical needs, behavioral challenges, or simply not being toilet trained. The Robin Rogers Day Service is a state licensed day care program, whose mission is to serve children with developmental delays and disabilities. Our program has existed for over thirty years, with a rich and successful history of serving children with disabilities. Our staff boasts an average of a dozen years of experience each. They receive annual training in CPR and First Aid, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse and Neglect, as well as regular training on medical issues, behavior modification techniques, and a wide variety of other areas imperative to teaching young children. We contract for services through both the Allen County Department of Job & Family Services and the Allen County Childrens Services Board. In addition to serving children with special needs, we also serve siblings of children with developmental disabilities who are already enrolled. We recognize that developmental disabilities affect the entire family and child care is often necessary for the entire sibling group. In addition to siblings, we also accept a small percentage of children who are “typically developed.” Extensive research has shown that integrated classrooms are beneficial for everyone, including our society as a whole.
