Description: RICHFIELD CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER. INC. is a Five Star Center License in RICHFIELD NC, with a maximum capacity of 199 children. This child care center helps with children in the age range of 0 through 12. The provider also participates in a subsidized child care program.

Child care administrators did not complete the ITS-SIDS training within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter. During the visit it was observed that staff members C. Parker, E. Lassing and M. Russell who are scheduled to work in the infant room do not have ITS-SIDS training.|

During the visit there was not a TB Test or screening on file for staff member J. Campbell.|
|All staff did not successfully complete certification in First Aid appropriate to the age of children in care. Verification of staff completion of First Aid training from an approved training organization was not in the staff file. Staff member J. Campbell hired 1/5/22 did not complete First Aid training until 4/7/22.|
|All staff did not successfully complete certification in CPR training appropriate to the age of the children in care. Verification of staff completion of the CPR course from an approved training organization was not in the staff file. Staff member J. Campbell hired 1/5/22 did not complete CPR training until 4/7/22.|
|Staff required to receive on-going training had not completed the required number of hours according to their education and experience. Staff member M. Russell has not completed the required number of on-going training hours. This staff member is missing nine (9) hours of on-going training.|
|The depth of the loose surfacing was not based on critical height of the equipment. The depth of the mulch beneath the climber on the playground for preschool children measured between 1 and 5 inches rather than the required 6 inches.|
|A current schedule was not posted for each group of children for reference. The required schedules were not posted in spaces #8A and #10A.|
|When three year old children and older were in care, the materials and equipment in the activity area was not in sufficient quantity to allow at least three children to use the area regardless of whether the children choose the same or different activities. The language and literacy areas in spaces #7 and #10A contained only one type of activity which was books.|
