Date Type Regulation Code Status
2020-10-08 Non Compliance 9U - Changes Affecting a License Corrected
Corrective Action: Children ages 4 and 5 were using the parking lot for outdoor play although this space has not been approved for use as a play space. The parking lot is no longer to be used. The licensee may submit a plan review to determine whether this space is approved for use.
2020-05-21 Non Compliance 27U - Ratios, Group Size, and Supervision Corrected
Corrective Action: A classroom contained children of mixed ages (toddlers-school-age) grouped together outside of the 90 minutes of the center operating. Infants and toddlers must be separated from older children outside of the first or last 90 minutes of the center’s operating hours. Administrator Hallmon must review Delacare regulation #27 with all staff members and create a system on how to maintain correct grouping of children. Submit documentation of review and plan to OCCL.
2020-05-21 Non Compliance 15U - Governing Body Corrected
Corrective Action: Upon arrival, a staff member had a pair of pants held to her face. The same staff member was not wearing a mask while talking to a licensing specialist in an office. All adults must wear a mask while in the center. The staff member immediately covered her face when she was informed of the issue.
2020-05-21 Non Compliance 18U - General Human Resources and Personnel Policies Corrected
Corrective Action: A staff member gave false ages of children to the specialist when asked the ages of the children in the classroom. Staff members are required to follow personnel policies and practices of a center which includes the dishonesty policy to ensure staff provide truthful information. Administrator Hallmon must review the dishonesty policy with all staff members. Staff #1 must complete the training Reflecting Ethical Conduct found on Betterkidcare.com. Submit documentation that each staff member reviewed the employee policy and Staff #1 completed the training.

2019-11-27 Non Compliance 20U - Positive Behavior Management Corrected
Corrective Action: Staff may not have children raise their hands in the air during ''time-out'', to do so is punative. ''Time-outs'' should be based on a child's behavior and be as short as possible with the maximum time being a minute per the child's age. All staff need to take the course Positive Behavior Management on the DEPD Now website and submit the training certificates to OCCL.
2019-11-07 Non Compliance 36U - Staff Attendance Corrected
Corrective Action: Two staff were signed into multiple rooms simultaniously. Staff were given technical assistance on how to use tracking sheets when combined at the start and end of a day.
2019-11-07 Non Compliance 43U - Children's Attendance Corrected
Corrective Action: Children's attendance was not accurate as children were not being signed in and out as they came and left the classroom. There were 27 children present in one room with only 25 signed in. This was corrected at the visit.
2019-11-07 Non Compliance 27U - Ratios, Group Size, and Supervision Corrected
Corrective Action: The pre-school room had 27 children ages three to five years old in one room with two staff. This is over the maximum group size and is improper staff-to-child ratio. The maximum group size for three year olds is 20. The proper staff-to-child ratio is 1:10. In another room, there was one staff member present with seven one and two-year-olds. With this age group, the staff-to-child ratio is 1:6. These issues were corrected at the time of the visit. Maintain proper staff-to-child ratios and do not exceed maximum group size.
2019-07-11 Non Compliance 16N - Records Corrected
Corrective Action: A system for tracking the location of individual children and staff needs to be documented at all times throughout the day. One staff member was signed into three classrooms at one time and children were signed into their assigned classrooms rather than the opening classroom. Please send one week's worth of attendance documentation to OCCL.
2019-07-11 Non Compliance 36N - General safety practices Corrected
Corrective Action: There was a lapse in security as the door was propped open without a security procedure in place. Please ensure there is a staff member at all times at the front desk when the door is unlocked or propped open. Provide OCCL with a written security procedure plan.

I had the best time when I went there after school and before. They gave us food to eat and we’re always happy to have us there. I would help with the younger kids when i was there and the best employee when I was there was the one we called Mrs. Jenn

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Worst daycare ever!!! I used it for 2 months and had the worst experience. My son was left behind in the bathroom at the aquarium and they tried to say my son was lying but staff workers at the aquarium confirmed that they found him wondering around with another kid.another day the teacher told my son he couldn't used the bathroom because he wasn't listening , because of that he wet his pants. I walk in one day to pick them up early and my 9yr old daughter and classmates been laying down for 2 he's, and my daughter was using another kids blanket. My son never received the shirt that I paid for, we never received lunch menu. The class was never organized. One thing my kids learned there was inappropriate songs and dances. I will never use this facility again!!
