Description: The primary goal of Red Rocks Community College School-Age Child Care (RRCC SACC) is to provide a safe, happy, caring and structured environment where children ages 5 through 12 have an opportunity to learn lifelong skills in recreation and social behavior. Children choose activities based on their interest and skill level. Each program offers a variety of age appropriate activities including art, craft, drama, science, indoor/outdoor games, homework opportunities and quiet time. These activities occur individually and in small or large group settings.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. I feel confident having my 6 and 8 year-olds attend Red Rocks after school care. They love the activities provided and often tell me they wish they could stay longer!
We have used this after school day care provider for the past three years simply out of necessity and every year I am reminded of why I wish there was another choice. The office staff is extremely hard to deal with and make everything much harder than it seems like it should be. They charge a lot of money for kids to hang out in the cafeteria for an hour or two after school simply because they can. (Other after school programs at different schools in the area charge a lot less and are much more flexible). If you can find any other after school daycare, I would suggest you use it rather than deal with Red Rocks.
