The Red Oak After School Program provides licensed after school child care for children ages 5 to 13 in a multicultural and bilingual environment. Ethnically diverse, Red Oak's children are divided into groups by age and grade level. Children are actively engaged in academic activities, reading, arts, clubs, field trips, homework support, and recreation in a year-round program which closes only on holidays. One of Boston's largest after school programs, Red Oak serves more than 130 children during the school year and 160 during the summer. Red Oak utilizes community resources to provide expanded opportunities for children in out-of-school time and partners include Tribal Rhythms and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
