We have had great luck with this daycare. Before finding Raising Daisies we tried a few in home licensed centers and just did not find the care we were looking for. Shortly after starting here we found out we were pregnant and enrolled our daughter as well. They have cared for our daughter from 8 weeks on, she'll be a year next week. I find all the staff very loving and caring. We did have issues of another child biting and hitting our child and the centers owner informed us personally of each incident and told us what they were doing to prevent it. They put new processes in place to address the behavior of the other child and took every step to ensure that our child was safe. As far as the review below that they let kids watch R rated movies, that is about as far out as allegations get. Ive never even seen a computer in the facility except the main office which is usually closed and locked. I think only one time I have gone to get my son and found them watching a movie and it was a Disney very child appropriate children's movie. They did help potty train my son and will do with my daughter as well. Any concerns we ever had were addressed right away by the owner. In the summer they have a petting zoo come to the center and bring the kids out into the yard to see the animals, my son loves it. Every week he brings home art projects he's worked on during the week. He's happy and learning everyday. Don't judge based on one person's review. My son has been here two years now and will continue with both kids for years to come.
As a valued employee of Raising Daisies Daycare the advice of a reveiw is far from the truth dated Aug 2012. All children are happy and well taken care of with safety being #1. The owner is very well educated to be quite frank more educated than most parents. She has built her business to be the best it can be and has established great relationships with all who know her. Families have stayed for 6 to 8 years and bringing siblings as their family grows. Along with a frozen dinner a fruit and milk to drink are furnished meeting nutritional needs. There are no stoves to cook food. Children are bundled when parents provide coats and if a parent who does not provide a coat a coat will be furnished just like a lunch. the rate in child potty training is phenominal and all staff treats children with care. If anyone would call in to speak to the owner they will find that she is more than loving. Ask any child. References are available. The sucess for Raising Daisies to operate is established by the parents who bring their children for safety and nurturing. ASK ANYBODY.
Warning! very poor choice in a day care outfit. the owner is very young in years and it shows in how she handles the children as well her buisness. she has NO kids of her own which plays a big part in how she handles things as well.
She has been very negative tward my child. it has effectited my child greatly!!!
ihave also had issues with staff here as well when it comes to the care of my child and safty. issues with other children bitting / hitting and nothing being done to solve the issues. staff and owner swear the work with it but all the do is write up incodent reports and it just keeps continueing to occur.
they do not work with children that need potty trained! do not let them fool you!! they also let children play and whatch inappropraite things off of the internet. rated r stuff not ok!! example walked in one day to see a kid watching a man dance in silver speedo fixed on his junk swingging it around and the child was unsuppervised.
also children not forced to wear jackets in freezing cold wealther when playing outside. ran into this issue way to many times.
If you do for get to bring a lunch be prepared to be charged $3.00 and your child served an .88 cent microwave dinner from walmart. pretty sure that doesnt meet guidelines but what do i know, what ever you can do to save a dollar right.
