Findings: During the inspection, the LS observed two broken screens to the home and chipping paint above the door at the child care entrance. Additionally, there was chipping paint on the walls inside the child care area.

Findings: Before entering the child care home, the LS observed the following items outside of the child care home: an old child car seat, several brooms, paper, containers, an empty box of Rice Crispy cereal, an old stroller along with a small blue bag of trash outside of the home.

Findings: The complaint states that the provider did not report to the Health Department that two related family members have Covid. The Baltimore County Health Department did not have a record of anyone from the providers address reporting a COVID 19 infection. The provider told the LS that the family members tested positive for COVID on October 13, 2021 and did not notify the OCC until October 21, 2021. The provider will submit documentation that she notified the families of the children in her care within 2 business days.

Findings: The LS attempted to conduct a complaint inspection on November 5th 2021 and the LS was allowed entry into the home but was nt allowed to conduct the inspection. The provider asked the LS to leave because her Sabbath was beginning in one hour and she needed to prepare. While in the home, the LS observed food that appeared to be crackers crunched up on the mat in the child care area. There was an open Ziploc bag of pretzels on the floor as well as a cup of cereal with milk on the table. All usable area of floor space was filled with clutter to include toys and food.

Findings: The LS observed the provider leave the child care area to access the refrigerator that was located on another floor of the home that is not approved for child care. The provider was advised to place a refrigerator on the floor of the child care area.

Findings: During the inspection, the LS did not observe a gate at the bottom of the stairs in the child care area. The provider places a gate at the bottom of the stairs during the inspection and the LS noticed for a second time during the inspection that the gate had fallen down. The provider will ensure that all safety devices are secured and in place at all times.
