About the Provider
The Presbyterian Child Development Center Day Care is a non-profit program sponsored and supported by the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale, Illinois as a service to the community. It was created in response to the need for quality childcare in the hope that the resources of the Church could help provide that care at a more affordable cost to parents. We have been meeting this need since 1972 when we were first issued our license.
The staff of the Presbyterian Child Development Center Day Care (PCDC) or (Center) is pleased that your child will be attending the Center. We hope the time your child spends with us will hold many worthwhile and enjoyable experiences as children, parents, and teachers all learn together. The Center communicates with families in their primary language or utilizes resources as needed to communicate with families.
Parents are an important part of the children’s experiences at the Center. We look forward to getting to know you better through daily sharing, special parent visits to the Center and parent conferences. All family members are welcome to come and visit children enrolled at our center. We ask that you let the Director or the class room teacher know the day before so you can receive a visitor pass. We hope that both you and your child will find the time spent in the Center exciting and rewarding. Parents will be given an annual evaluation, this evaluation will help met the needs of the center plus the needs of he staff. This evaluation is given out every January with the newsletter. After the evaluations are reviewed the parents will receive the results in the next newsletter.
