A teacher released a child to their parent without looking to see if DCF was there. The parent kidnapped the child and the teacher is still employed there. Run down building and playground is unsafe.

Plainville Early Learning Center (PELC) is a state funded program that provides affordable, year round, high-quality, early care and education for three to twelve year-olds in a safe and nurturing environment. Our staff encourages the social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development of the children in our care. We are your child's home away from home. Our goal is to build the self-esteem of the children in our programs as they become successful learners in all developmental areas through healthy activities. Our staff works together with the families of the children in our care to inspire and nurture their development, expand their ideas, and reach their goals. All members of the Plainville Early Learning Center blossom and grow as they are cared for with love. We provide non-discriminatory childcare to assist in the healthy physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of both preschool and school-age children. At the Plainville Early Learning Center we believe that children should be exposed to a variety of cultural, social, and educational experiences as well as physical activities to promote growth in all areas of development. Our mixed age preschool classrooms allow children to socialize and select activities appropriate for their developmental level. In our school-aged classrooms we provide age appropriate activities before and after school.
