Peppermint Pattys Day Care & Preschool

Peppermint Patty's Preschool is Shawnee's only continuous preschool education center since 1960.  We provide warm, loving care for children ages 1-12 in a small personalized atmosphere.

Staff-- Our staff is passionate in its approach to offer a healthy, safe, and clean environment for your child to grow physically, emotionally and academically.  The Director and all lead teacher have bee with Peppermint Patty's for 4 or more years, and we were recently awarded over $5000 in additional, specialized training for all staff.  We also received an additional $8000 for new classroom equipment.

Curriculum--  A small center like Peppermint Patty's allows teacher to emphasize academic programs for youngsters age 1-5, individualizing education to each child as needed.  Our morning structures focuses on school academic readiness, while our afternoons encourage free play with age appropriate activities.

We offer the hands-on Montessori method to prepare your child for important life and learning skills such as:  **Care of self & environment; **Independence; **Social graces; **Speech & language development; **Reading & math  skills; **Science & culture subjects.
