About the Provider

Pauline Multicultural Montessori School is dedicated to the education of children and to the achievement of academic excellence. The school’s director and staff, collectively, have a special interest in the multicultural education, including foreign language, art, and culture. They strive to expose their students to these subjects. This commitment to multicultural and multilingual education is reflected in the schools staff, curriculum and programs. Teachers, teacher assistants and all programs at Pauline Multicultural Montessori School must reflect Montessori principles, methods and goals. The only materials and activities that belong in a Montessori environment are those that have “a point of interest.” The teachers are responsible for creating an environment in which children can learn through active participation with these materials. Applying the basic scientific Montessori methods, the teacher continuously creates and hones this environment to ensure that it is tailored to meet the needs and readiness of the attending children. The Montessori approach spans the developmental spectrum from birth through the completion of high school. Though initially focused on the education of children age 1 year to 6 years, Pauline Multicultural Montessori School has expanded our educational program to include children from birth to the third grade level. The school is open to every child, regardless of the child’s physical cognitive, social, or emotional level and is committed to providing the same quality education and opportunities for Multicultural exposure. In fact research on early childhood development demonstrates that the ability to acquire more than one language bears no relationship to IQ, so children with developmental delays in speech can still learn foreign languages.
