Overall, we have been pleased with OTR daycare. We receive daily reports for our child. When there is an incident, we are quickly notified. We interviewed several daycare providers in the area and felt the most comfortable with Over the Rainbow. Pricing in average compared to other providers in the Houma area.
My child went to this daycare for about 2 months and we were not pleased at all. Daily report sheets would not be filled out completely as far as diaper changes / naps / eating / etc. My husband and I picked our child up from daycare one afternoon and we noticed blood on the collar of his shirt and on his arm. Under his chin was a bloody gash. When we asked about it, they stated they don't know what happened but he didn't cry. What upset me was that they told me he didn't cry but how do you know that if you don't know what happened. The blood on his shirt was not even noticed or acknowledged by them. After looking back at the cameras, my child was pushed down by another child, sat on the floor crying and was not once tended to. I understand children are going to fall and bleed, but I need to be notified and the caregivers should be CAREGIVING. He now has a scar under his chin, I will NEVER bring him back there.
DO NOT GO TO OVER THE RAINBAOW! Kids at over the rainbow call names to other camps. Do not send your kids there, repeat DO NOT send your kids there, or they will come home name calling BRATs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
