Description: Our Lady’s Catholic Academy is a diverse, child-centered Catholic elementary school that proudly serves the South Ozone Park community. The school was founded in September 2009, under the direction and guidance of the Board of Directors, at the former home of Saint Anthony of Padua School. In September 2012, it expanded into a second campus at the former home of Saint Teresa of Avila School.
Our school prides itself on its prominent and proud declaration of our Catholic faith. Catholic teaching and principles are at the heart of everything that we do at Our Lady’s Catholic Academy. Christ is the reason for our school, and spreading the Good News is our ultimate mission.
Because our faith teaches us that everyone has value and self-worth, we focus on the individual needs of each student in our school. We utilize a variety of different instructional techniques, and we use all of the support services available to our students, ranging from Academic Intervention Services to 21st century classroom technology.
Our Lady’s Catholic Academy also places a high premium on the physical and emotional safety of every one of our students. We have a strictly enforced “No Violence” policy, and we encourage clear and open communication between the teachers and students about all issues that the students may be struggling with.
Our Lady’s Catholic Academy continues to accept new registrants for Grades Nursery-7th. Stop by and meet our principal, Mr. Kevin Coyne and our assistant principal, Mrs. Marian Hernandez, and take a tour of one of our buildings. You will soon discover that this is the school that you’ve been dreaming of for your children.
