Description: Head Start is a nationwide federally funded pre-school program designed to ensure that all pre-school children, especially those from low-income families and children with disabilities, have the skills to succeed in Kindergarten and future school experiences. Full-day and half-day classes are available from Monday through Thursday 9 months of the year. We serve children in Clay, Cloud, Ottawa, Washington, & Republic counties. In Minneapolis, the Clifford and Pat Johns (local realtors) have made available to Head Start a newly remodeled center for the Ottawa County Head Start program.
