For the last 10 years Nancy Abad, founder of Bumble Bee Daycare Center, has been committed to excellence in education as she seeks to develop the intellectual, artistic and moral potential of her young students. Mrs. Abad opened the first Bumble Bee Daycare in the Bronx in 2004 using her passion for nurturing talented youngsters and the help of her three daughters, the program was a success from the very start. Now Mrs. Abad has brought Bumble Bee Daycare to Greenville where she believes she can make difference in the lives of a her new community.

Our passionate and engaging teachers grow, learn, and imagine with your child through an academic program that is demanding, rigorous, and thorough. We encourage our students to challenge themselves in innovative ways, so they can reach their highest potential in mind, body and spirit. We believe “curriculum” is everything that happens in the classroom, from interactions and meals to singing and playing. We provide a balance between choice and structured activities, between group and individual pursuits, and between teacher and child-directed experiences.



We approach education in an interdisciplinary, experiential, and collaborative way, helping our students develop a lifelong passion for learning and an understanding of its relevance beyond the classroom. As ethical learning provides the foundation of all that we do, we emphasize our students’ moral development, and guide them towards service and social justice.
