This in-home childcare provider is unsafe. Although at first glance this center is DHS licensed, kept organized and clean, and children are provided a home cooked meal, the treatment given to some children is emotionally and physically unsafe. The treatment given to us parents was nothing short of dismissive and disrespectful. Our experience there raised a lot of red flags – to name a few – child blaming, not respectful of child’s individual milestones, claims of child disability, parenting style over-reach and not reporting incidents in a timely manner; rather waiting until pickup to report substantial injury. If you are looking into placement here, please consider this warning - there is no telling why this caretaker chooses to victimize some children and not others. Our DHS referral/report was not displayed in the DHS compliance history; as a concerned parent, this review is the only way we found to share our experience.
This facility is unsafe and inappropriate. Multiple families left during the time I utilized childcare. I did not realize until it happened to my child, that the families left due to abuse and neglect. After leaving spoke with other families and their stories were as heartbreaking as ours. If only we all communicated sooner we could have possibly prevented harm.
