Nisqually Tribal Day Care

Nisqually Tribe Head Start is a comprehensive child development program which serves children 3½-to-5 years of age. Head Start is a child-focused program, and haves an overall goal of increasing the social competence of young children in low-income families. The Head Start program has a long tradition of delivering comprehensive and high quality services designed to foster healthy development in low-income children. Nisqually Tribe Head Start provides a range of individualized services in the areas of education and early childhood development, medical, dental, mental health, and nutrition and parent involvement. Our mission is to “offer a place of support for our children and families by empowering the families to become more involved in the education of their children. Head Start provides educational opportunities necessary to nurture and develop self-esteem and competency amongst our families as they move forward in life.”
