Description: New World Educational Center is a non-profit, nonsectarian, private nursery through second grade center. We were founded in 1980 to provide quality day care for working families. We strive to provide our children with a warm, nurturing environment. We facilitate learning and foster self-esteem by creating opportunities for children to explore, create, experiment, interact, problem solve and communicate freely. We welcome students of every race, color, national or ethnic origin.
We are licensed, monitored and inspected by New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. We are also accredited by the New York State Department of Education. We participate in the ACD Voucher Program and HRA Begin Program.
Our curriculum promotes the linguistic, social, emotional, cultural and social development of all our children. Activities are learner-centered and help promote a child’s independence and self-confidence. Our curriculum is in alignment with the NYC core balance literacy and core balanced mathematics program.
Progress reports and/or reports cards are handed out three times a year so that parents can check their child’s progress. We encourage parents to be involved in the education process and participate in school activities. We distribute newsletters which update parents on events at the center, as well as give them parenting tips on how to build a child’s self-esteem, boost language skills, teach responsibility, and build reading readiness skills. The newsletter also provides parents with health and safety tips.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
