I have used this provider for less than 6 months

After already having reservations about using a home childcare facility I came across Lorraine I met with her and she was wonderful i went over some issues i have had we previous childcare and she assured me I would not have those issue with her after utilizing care for one week she informed me on a Friday that she had not received time sheet forms and would not be able to take the child the following week until she received them or some sort of proof from child action that she was in fact my provider (I later found out she could have just printed the time sheets ) I received my care certificate or proof she was my provider in the mail and gave it to her Sunday however Monday morning she stated I would need to pay a late fee because I did not pay my parent copay Friday the day she told me she would no longer accept my child without the time forms so after telling her I didn’t feel I should have to pay the late fee since she refused to take him she told me it wasn’t going to work out and dropped me leaving me without care as I was en route to drop my child off on my way to work and her reason was as she stated she does not have time to go back n forth on her policies even though she never provided them to me to begin with she then proceeded to taunt me via text a few days after dropping me from care asking if I’ve found care and when I responded no she stated “oh I bet, it could be so hard” this woman just seems like she wants to make a quick buck and try’s to overcharge and apply all kinds of fees and your the problem when you question her about them stay far away had it not been for my boss truly being understanding I probably would be without a job and no way to pay my rent or survive

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

When we found Lorraine it truly felt like we hit the lottery. I was so worried about sending my baby to daycare, and wanted to feel confident in where we were sending her and after having almost a two hour interview I felt just that. We were so happy and quick to send over a deposit and save our spot, and very excited to start. The first day was great, and unfortunately our little one got sick and had to take some time off (completely understandable) when she went back as it’s only her second day in daycare setting ever she cried at nap time. I feel this is understandable and normal for a 6 month old who is starting daycare for the first time ever. Lorraine texted us and said to immediately pick up the baby because she is interrupting the other childrens nap times. She continued to do this three more days and when we finally expressed concerns about having to find another provider because we were worried about keeping our jobs after constantly having to leave to get our baby after only a few hours, she then texted us the morning of only a couple hours before drop off saying our deposit will be returned and to consider yesterday our last day. This is leaving us scrambling to find care for our daughter and very stressed, and even hurt to think that someone could say a 6 month old baby is basically uncontrollable. Mind you I received a picture one of the days of the baby sleeping at 10:30 and then I guess she was expected to sleep AGAIN shortly after. She also mentioned that my baby needs to learn how to hold her own bottles and feed herself to make it easier on her. If I’m being honest it sounds like she wants to get paid to do the bare minimum for our child. Please be aware of this and be clear in any interviews with this provider as you may also end up in this situation scrambling to find care for you child.
