Description: Pastor Darrell L. Sydnor Sr. was born in Richmond, Virginia. He is a 1994 Distinguished Military Graduate of Tuskegee University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management, and he received his Masters of Administration in Human Resources from Central Michigan University in 2001. He is currently collecting research for his final dissertation to complete a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Care from the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology.
Prior to his installment at Rock of Faith, Pastor Sydnor served as an associate minister then as the interim pastor at Rock of Faith. Just prior to serving as the interim pastor, during a deployment overseas, he was the founding pastor of the Warrior’s Den Fellowship in Arifjan, Kuwait. Throughout his seventeen years in ministry, Pastor Sydnor has ministered in six states throughout the US and two countries abroad including: marriage counselor, youth pastor, prison ministry Bible instructor, Sunday school superintendent and Bible study teacher. He is a compassionate, hands on pastor that strives to know, lead and develop each member to spiritual, emotional, mental, financial and psychological obedience to the principles of God through practical Bible application.
Pastor Sydnor is a humble servant of the kingdom who has also served his country in the US Army. MAJ(R) Sydnor's twenty-five years of military experience has seen him receive several honors to include: The General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, 6 Meritorious Service Medals, 7 Army Commendation Medals, 6 Army Achievement medals, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Award. Tuskegee University recognized his outstanding achievements by having a scholarship and a dorm suite named in his honor that is reserved for the top ROTC cadet at Tuskegee University. Also, in Montana's capital city of Helena, the Mayor made a proclamation declaring a day bering his name to honor his excellent service to the city.
