Description: Head Start is the foremost child development program in the United States. Head Start provides educational experiences, health services, parent involvement and social services to give a "head start" to economically disadvantaged and/or disabled 3-5 year olds and their families.
All Head Start services provided by JVCA, Inc. Head Start are offered free of charge to all enrolled children. Income eligibility is
determined by the income guidelines of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Childcare services before and after the Head Start day are available at the Parkview Center in Jackson. If you are in need of before and after child care, fees and payment options will need to be explained on an individual basis depending on the family's ability to receive subsidized child care through the Department of Jobs and Family Services. If the family does not qualify for subsidized childcare, private pay options will be explained.
