Description: Busibee Family Child Care believes that quality child care involves the whole family. We define quality child care as accessible, affordable, flexible, and loving, with holistic developmentally appropriate activities, and qualified care givers. We provide activities that reach the child development areas of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual to give the children a strong base for learning.
We strive for strong, empathetic, and consistent communication with our families. We do this with monthly newsletters, daily logs, and communication with parents during drop off and pick up. We offer a safe, loving, and fun learning environment that feels like home for children ages of birth until 8 years of age.
We believe in respecting diversity through understanding and knowledge. As care givers we are valuable members of the child's resource team. We believe in maintaining confidentiality in our program and work to build trust as we discuss goals and the needs of the child. We believe that all children should have access to child care, we welcome all children regardless of diversity of ability, culture, family structure, and language.
Our program has been nationally accredited through the National Association for Family Child Care and both the owner/provider (Ellen), and second care giver (Veronnica) have received and kept current CDAs (Child Development Associate Credential).
Our program has achieved a 4 star on the Utah Dept. of Health TOP Star program and participates in the Child Care Nutrition Program at USU, providing nutritionally, varied meals and snacks at no additional cost to families. Care givers (including substitutes) have current food handler permits.
Each care giver keeps their CPR and First Aid certifications current. Care givers also log at least 20 hours of child development training each year, as well as training in other areas, including business, licensing rules, and nutrition.
Please feel free to call and we will answer any questions you may have. We would love to schedule a meeting with you and your child. During the meeting you will receive a copy of our parent handbook and a family packet of information.
