Methodist Weekday School has changed its name to "My Weekday School, Inc." We have a new name but we offer the same great education to your preschooler in the same location near Hastings Elementary School in Lexington.
As a private, non-profit, non-sectarian preschool we strive to offer excellent teaching, facilities, and programs to children of all cultures, faiths, and walks of life.
MWS is a happy manageable place away from home. Our caring teachers provide hands-on experiences and positive feedback to stimulate social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. As children enjoy what’s familiar and master what’s difficult, they gain confidence in their ability to succeed in school.
We believe all children are on a predictable path of development and that they reveal their individual strengths, personalities and preferences as they explore the world around them. By offering a broad variety of experiences, we help them establish the skills and self-control they need to work and play effectively with others. Above all else, we make sure school is an exciting and fun place to be, so each child develops a life-long love of learning.
We enroll 90 children from Lexington, Bedford, other nearby communities, and even other countries. Our students range in age from 2 years nine months to 5+ years old. They enter school in various stages of motor, social and language development–including some who speak little or no English. Whether they enter speaking American English, Russian, Mandarin, Korean, Dutch, or Farsi, our students are all fluent in the universal language of play, movement, and laughter. We welcome the wonderful variety of students and parents; they enrich our school life on a daily basis.
