Licensing
2024-01-24
The licensee shall provide a protected outdoor play area that is safely enclosed by either a fence or natural boundaries for children in care 2024-01-28
Type of correction needed: 470 IAC 3-1.1-45(d)
2 Fence panels missing/broken in fenced play yard at time of visit.
Provider Response: (Contact the State Licensing Office for more information.)
A winter storm damaged two fence panels with the temperatures and snow we were waiting to repair the damages. Following the snow was heavy rainfall making the ground too soft to properly repair. No children were allowed in the area while the fence was in need of repairs. The fence is now restored and ready for playground use as of 1/28/24. Although the children were safe and unable to play in this area, we accept full responsibility for the citation as it was accurate that the fence was damaged.
