Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the McKendree United Methodist Church Day Care is located at 520 Commerce Street in the church’s Christian Life Center.
A five-day-a-week, year-round program, the center is open from 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Our program offers care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We welcome parental involvement and encourage visits during the day. Our program is open to the community and our location allows many of our families working in the downtown area to stop by on a regular basis. We pride ourselves on having a warm, caring, and inclusive community for children, families and staff.
Licensed through the Tennessee Department of Human Services, McKendree has a Three Star Rating – the highest possible. Ours is a developmentally appropriate program designed to meet the diverse needs of young children. We value play, warm and reciprocal relationships, discovery and joy. Caregivers/teachers intentionally plan the environment, schedule, activities and interactions to respond to children’s individual needs. These needs are met while paying careful attention to developing daily experiences that are child-centered and appropriate for enhancing emotional, social, cognitive, physical and cultural development. We want children to be safe, healthy, happy, challenged, and loved.
