Description: The Maslow Academy of Applied Learning is an independent elementary school in Montrose, Colo., focused on helping students reach their peak potential.
What if your child…
could be INSPIRED to learn vs. “have to learn?”
could progress through different academic levels with a feeling of CONFIDENCE?
could learn real-life skills through APPLICATION instead of lecture?
learned by using TODAY’S TECHNOLOGY instead of with yesterday’s methodologies?
could be treated as a true INDIVIDUAL in the classroom with teaching customized to his or her learning style?

Connect, Seek Advice, Share Knowledge
All three of my children have attended Maslow academy. This has been our families choice for preschool and infant care since 2014. We enjoy the teachers and staff. They are always caring and open to communicate. Over the years I have see them work hard to include parents in the classroom by sharing lesson plans, hosting parent teacher conferences and letting us volunteer. One of my children has food allergies and they always are very careful with him. I trust the staff at Maslow and would take my kids or future grandkids anywhere else in town. They are like family.
This is not a school that I would recommend. My child was not treated well by a teacher. We reported this to the school and they told us we were at fault. Very sad that they carry the name Maslow.
This is a school consisting of glorified babysitting where they hire unqualified parents to teach your children! They preach healthy eating but actually bribe the children with candy to do some work in between watching movies. There is no structure whatsoever and very unwelcoming feeling where the teachers are not accessible to your questions. The school is new and there is so much turnover of staff already and constant fundraising requests. On the playground, you will often see the teachers huddled in the corner talking while the children run around getting bullied or hurt without supervision. My friend had her son in the attached Bright Beginnings and went to pick him up and no one knew where he was for 20 minutes! She thought that no one talked to him the entire day and pulled him out right away.
